Adam Boumel is an award-winning trial lawyer who represents individuals and families in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex product liability cases. Before founding Poses Boumel, Adam spent more than a decade as a named partner at a boutique Miami plaintiffs’ personal injury firm, dedicating his career to advocating for people whose lives were forever changed by the negligence and misconduct of others.

Adam has served as lead and co-lead trial counsel in state and federal courts in cases involving motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, defective products, negligent security, and wrongful death.

Most notably, Adam served as co-lead trial counsel in the landmark 2025 federal trial against Tesla arising from a fatal crash involving its Autopilot technology. After a three-week trial, the jury returned a $242.5 million verdict - the first successful jury verdict against Tesla involving Autopilot. In recognition of their work on the case, Adam, along with his law partner Todd Poses, were named Litigators of the Week by The American Lawyer.

Trying cases has been part of Adam’s professional identity from the beginning. Just months after being admitted to the bar, he tried his first case and obtained a $688,000 jury verdict. He has also successfully argued for entitlement to punitive damages and has served as a guardian ad litem protecting the interests of minors in significant personal injury and wrongful death settlements.

Adam particularly enjoys cross-examining biased defense experts and delivering closing arguments. For him, however, the most rewarding part of practicing law is helping clients regain the security, dignity, and sense of control that were taken from them. He believes exceptional representation requires more than legal skill - it requires accessibility, honesty, empathy, and a genuine personal connection. Adam treats his clients as extended family and takes seriously the trust they place in him during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Known for his meticulous preparation, persuasive courtroom presence, and attention to detail, Adam takes tremendous pride in the work required to achieve exceptional results. He genuinely loves the process of investigating the facts, mastering the evidence, developing case strategy, preparing witnesses, and finding the most compelling way to tell his client’s story.

Adam is admitted to practice in Florida and California, as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

Outside the courtroom, Adam is blessed with his amazing—and beautiful—wife, Tess. He can often be found singing and dancing poorly to Taylor Swift with his daughter, Ella, or reading the Harry Potter series with his son, Jacob.

Early in his career, Adam was also heavily involved in the entertainment industry and still represents a select group of artists, including eight-time Grammy® Award winner Ms. Lauryn Hill.
